It looks like I’ll need to get back to the Adobe challenges; I’m already into the first week in January for PFCC images. I may run short. As it is, I only have until tonight to work on an image from last week. Looks like I’ll spend the day in front of the computer. I did get my 2023 calendars sent off for printing this morning, though. The place where I have them printed usually runs a sale about this time of year with extra discounts and free shipping. Knowing this, I get my calendar ready to go by late fall so when the 2 day sale hits, I’m ready to order. They tell me I saved $400 by waiting (or being early, depending how you look at it). So, the calendars will set on my desk December.
The challenge for the image show was to create a scene from scratch — no photos allowed. Mine was made with gradients, shapes, textures, brushes and the render tree filter. If you haven’t tried the tree filter, you really should. You can pick from dozens of tree species and control leafage, color. Branch thickness and branch height. They are quite realistic. My advice is to do each tree on its own layer for more flexibility in placing them in a scene.
Gotta go. More work awaits after lunch. Take care and stay well.
